Yesterday, the La Crosse Police Department was awarded a grant from the La Crosse Community Foundation. The $75,000 grant, which has a potential for two additional years’ awards, will fund a Community Policing Officer. This officer will be assigned to the north side of La Crosse and will be able to develop relationships with kids, adults, home owners, and local businesses to help improve the safety of the neighborhoods and the area.
The La Crosse Police Department would like to thank the La Crosse Community Foundation for this great opportunity. This is a great example of the community coming together to work on the issues that we all face. Together, we’ll make La Crosse an even better community in which to live and work.
