The La Crosse Police Department was honored and privileged to participate in the 2nd Annual La Crosse Violence Awareness Charity Softball Tournament (Sara Softball 2014) on Saturday, April 26th. The LCPD “BLUES” softball team participated in the event, which is held in the memory of Sara Hougom. The event was hosted by Chi Phi Fraternity-Pi Theta Chapter from UWL. They did an outstanding job with the event and had a total of twelve teams participating this year. The money raised through Sara Softball will benefit the Neighborhood Resource Officer program that is helping to provide safety to our neighborhoods.
