The La Crosse Police Department, in conjunction with Dairy Queen (Fourteen Foods), is pleased to announce a new safety initiative happening throughout our city, the “You’ve Been Caught Wearing Your Helmet” campaign.
Throughout the summer, La Crosse Police Officers will be handing out coupons for a free DQ treat (small cone) whenever they observe children wearing helmets while riding their bicycles. The coupons will be redeemable at the Dairy Queen on Mormon Coulee Road in La Crosse.
Dairy Queen (Fourteen Foods) and the La Crosse Police Department believe this program is a great way for Police Officers to reward children for practicing safety while biking. It is also a fun way for Police Officers to make a personal and positive connection with the children in our community.
