High Visibility Pedestrian and OWI Enforcement

Throughout this weekend, the La Crosse Police Department will have extra officers working High Visibility Pedestrian and OWI Enforcement grant patrols, including the following:

  1. Today, August 21st from 3:00PM – 6:00PM, officers will work High Visibility Pedestrian Enforcement on La Crosse Street at Myrick Park Lane, by UW-La Crosse and Myrick Park.
  2. Friday, August 22nd and Saturday, August 23rd officers will work High Visibility OWI Enforcement throughout the city.
  3. Monday, August 25th from 7:00AM – 10:00AM, officers will work another High Visibility Pedestrian Enforcement on West Avenue and Pine and Vine Streets.

The goals for these grants are to improve safety, reduce traffic-related injuries or death, and to gain voluntary compliance with existing laws.
