Vehicle Pursuit and Arrest

At 1:24PM today, November 4th, two La Crosse Police Department Neighborhood Resource Officers attempted to stop a vehicle at 614 Monitor Street for violations when the vehicle took off at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle traveled southbound on Copeland Avenue and then turned on South 2nd Street at estimated speeds of 85 to 90 MPH as officers called off the pursuit.  The suspect vehicle was located minutes later, parked in the Municipal Boat Harbor parking lot on Isle La Plume.  The driver and one passenger had fled on foot.  Shortly after, both driver and passenger were located in the area and placed under arrest.

The incident remains an ongoing investigation and no names or vehicle information will be released at this time.
