On November 18, 2014, Chief Ron Tischer was pleased to accept a donation for $1,320.00 from Krystal Burrows, a senior at West Salem High School. As part of her senior graduation project, Krystal ran a benefit bowling tournament with 15 teams and 60 bowlers, along with basket raffles and other fundraising events to help raise the $1,320.00.
Krystal wanted to raise the money to promote violence awareness to help make the greater La Crosse area a better place to live. She asked that the money be used to help support the La Crosse Police Department’s Neighborhood Resource Officer program, which currently has four officers working closely with residents and businesses in the Washburn and Lower Northside Depot neighborhoods. Krystal and her mother, Kelly, presented the check to Chief Tischer at the Police Department, where she was able to meet all four Neighborhood Resource Officers.
Thank you, Krystal!
