Homicide Suspect Arrested

On Friday August 21st at 10:45 p.m. the La Crosse Police Department arrested Deshawn M. Randall 03-19-1997, who is the suspect in Friday morning’s fatal shooting in La Crosse. The suspect was arrested at 918 Denton Street #5. La Crosse Police Investigators had gathered information and followed up on some possible leads on a possible location for Randall. After gathering information on his possible location on Denton Street, the Police Department evacuated a one block radius around the apartment complex. The La Crosse Police Department’s Emergency Response Team, along with the La Crosse County Emergency Response Team responded to the scene. Also assisting at the scene was the La Crosse Fire Department.

Negotiators attempted to make contact with the suspect, but were unable to do so. Emergency Response Team members then entered the apartment and were able to locate Randall and place him under arrest without further incident. Randall was the only person in the apartment. Randall was transported to the La Crosse County Jail and will appear in court on Monday for 1st Degree Intentional Homicide.

The Investigation is still ongoing at this time.
