Warrant Leads to Heroin & Hand Guns with Missing Serial #’s

CnOD2pvXYAA74XPOn July 12, 2016 the La Crosse Police Department investigative staff and Emergency Response Team executed search warrants at three separate locations as part of an ongoing drug investigation. The warrants were executed at 1317 Redfield St., 854 Winneshiek Rd. and 929 16th St. South.

Investigators over the last 3 weeks developed information of possible drug dealing out of 1317 Redfield St. This information was used to acquire a search warrant for that address. While executing the search warrant, investigators found additional details tying the drug dealing to 854 Winneshiek Rd and 929 16th St. South which they were also granted search warrants for.

Evidence seized as part of these search warrants included almost an ounce of heroin with an estimated street value of $5000.00, cash totaling $500.00 and 2 hand guns. The hand guns, a .22 caliber and .40 caliber, both had their serial numbers filed off.  Investigators are continuing their investigation into the two weapons.

Arrested as part of this investigation were:

Henry M. Swannagan 02/08/1963 of La Crosse was charged with:

  1. Possession of heroin with the intent to deliver
  2. Felon in Possession of a firearm
  3. Possession of drug paraphernalia
  4. Probation Parole hold

Antoine D. Hardie Jr. 05/03/1985, who claims to have just moved to La Crosse and has ties to several other metropolitan areas (Minneapolis, St. Louis and IL), was charged with:

  1. Possession of heroin with the intent to deliver
  2. Felon in Possession of a firearm

Both individuals are scheduled to appear in court tomorrow.
