Suspect Identified in Homicide Investigation – Arrest Warrant Issued

La Crosse Police in consultation with the La Crosse County District Attorney’s Office are identifying Shavonte T. Thompson DOB 02/16/1992 of La Crosse as the suspect in the homicide of Javier Hall.

On Saturday night, November 2nd at about 9:40 pm the La Crosse Police were dispatched to the 900 block of Copeland Ave. for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, police located Javier Hall lying on the ground near the alley suffering from a gunshot wound. Javier was transported by Tri-State Ambulance to a local hospital, however later passed away due to the injury.

Through the ongoing investigation and interviews, Shavonte Thompson has been identified as the suspect who fired the gun that killed Javier Hall.  Based on this investigation, a warrant for Shavonte Thompson’s arrest has been issued.

La Crosse Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are working with the District Attorney’s Office to determine if additional individuals will be charged as part of this incident.
