On February 11, 2014, Eugene E. Shields (09-24-80) was sentenced in United States District Court (Western District of Wisconsin) to 110 months and 6 years extended supervision for drug trafficking for charges. The charges stem from an April 8, 2013 arrest in La Crosse, WI. The Judge stated that Mr. Shields was a “danger to the community”. This conviction was the result of a lengthy investigation by the La Crosse Police Drug Investigation Unit, West Central MEG Unit, and the La Crosse FBI Office.

On April 8, 2013, the La Crosse Police Department executed a search warrant at 2001 State Rd after a drug investigation was conducted by the La Crosse Police Drug Investigative Unit, the West Central MEG Unit, and the La Crosse FBI Office. The subject of this investigation, Eugene E. Shields, was arrested and taken into custody as a result of this investigation.
Recovered and taken as evidence in the execution of this search warrant: 32.9 grams of heroin with an estimated street value of over $8,000; 32.3 grams of crack cocaine and 8.6 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of $1,600; 12 grams of marijuana; and numerous other drug paraphernalia.
