The La Crosse Police Department has received several complaints about a female party going around asking for gas money to help her get back home. This female is often crying while asking for the gas money to help her get to Tomah or Black River Falls, WI. However, this female lives on the north side of La Crosse. The vehicle and person in the complaints has been identified, contacted, and warned about asking for money under false pretenses and was made aware of the complaints. The La Crosse Police Department reminds the citizens of La Crosse and surrounding area to be cautious of this and other possible fraud taking place.
