On Sunday, July 13th, members of the La Crosse Police and Fire Departments faced off in the first ever Patriot Games “Guns ‘n Hoses” charity softball game presented by Western Technical College and hosted by the La Crosse Loggers.
The Police and Fire Departments partnered with the Loggers to sell tickets to the game. The Loggers pledged to donate half of those ticket sales to the charity selected by each Department, and Western pledged an additional $300 donation on behalf of the winning team.
Both teams played a great game! The Police Department rallied in the last few innings to win, 10 to 2.
In the end, with the Police Department win, a total of $1,104.50 was donated to Justice For A Cure!
