On February 4, 2015 at 7:42PM, La Crosse Police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a car versus pedestrian at the 1700 block of George Street. Witnesses stated that 59-year-old Steven Dearman of La Crosse walked into the southbound traffic lane from between two parked vehicles and was struck by a minivan being driven by 64-year-old Susan Whitewater, also of La Crosse.
Mr. Dearman was transported to the hospital by Tri-State Ambulance and is reported to be in stable condition. The Wisconsin State Patrol assisted at the scene with accident reconstruction. No citations have been issued at this time.
