La Crosse Police Detective Sergeant Linnea Miller was awarded the 2015 Ken Kolb “Great Kids Start With You” Award as part of the La Crosse Child Maltreatment Conference held last week.
With nominations from three individuals including a La Crosse Child Protective Services worker, a Stepping Stones Family Advocate, and a fellow police officer, Sgt. Miller’s dedication to the protection of our area children and their families is evident. She was recognized for her tireless efforts to ensure that, “the children in the community, who have been victims of or witnessed unspeakable violence, have a voice,” as well as her commitment to serve as an important bridge between the Police Department and the community organizations that all work together to protect our area children.
Sergeant Miller is a Detective in the Investigative Services Bureau and works within the Sensitive Crimes Unit. She began her career with the La Crosse Police Department in January 2000, was promoted to Investigator in April 2006, and then Detective Sergeant in January 2008. Sgt.
