La Crosse Police Are investigating a robbery that occurred today at the Altra Federal Credit Union located at 28 Copeland Ave, which is inside of the Festival Foods Store in La Crosse.
At 3:10 P.M. a white male walked into Altra Federal Credit Union and handed a deposit slip to the teller which had writing on it which stated “STAY CALM, GIVE ME YOUR MONEY AND NO ONE GETS HURT”. The teller complied with this demand and the suspect exited, walking out to the parking lot and getting into the passenger side of a vehicle which then left the scene.
There was no display of a weapon during this incident and no one was injured.
Security video was obtained and La Crosse Police Department Officers later located the suspect vehicle and took the driver of this vehicle into custody for questioning. Investigators continue to follow up with leads in regards to the suspect in this incident.
