The La Crosse Police Department is pleased to announce that the 3rd Street Aid Station will again be open and ready to serve the community Friday and Saturday of Oktoberfest. This year’s endeavor follows in the footsteps of nine (10) successful years of operation. Friday the Aid Station will be open from 7:00pm until 3:00am and Saturday 7:00pm until 3:00am.
The 3rd Street Aid Station continues to be located in the parking lot of the Subway Restaurant on the south west corner of 3rd and Pearl Streets. We would like to thank Don and Dennis Rottinghaus from Subway for offering their lot for the 3rd Street Aid Station. Additional thanks go out to Fortney Companies for their continued work on coordinating our efforts; as well as the numerous other businesses, City and County Departments, and Student Volunteers from Viterbo, UWL and WTC that have collaborated again this year and in years past to make this a success. The 3rd Street Aid Station is truly an example of the police working with the community to make things safer for everyone.
The mission of the 3rd Street Aid Station is to “create a friendly environment where professionals can assist others in need and help provide a safe and uneventful weekend in our community”.
A news conference will be held on site – Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at 2:00pm, at the Subway restaurant parking lot, Third and Pearl Streets.
Inclement Weather:
If it is raining, the alternate location is at the Grand River Station Lobby (315 So. Third St.) on the same date and time.
