Project Blue Light

The La Crosse Officer’s Spousal Support Association (LCOSSA) will be holding its first annual Project Blue Light Fundraiser.  Members of LCOSSA will be selling blue light bulbs as a way to show support for our local law enforcement officers in the city of La Crosse.   Residents are asked to shine their lights the week of May 15th to May 21st in conjunction with National Police Week.

The LCOSSA was newly formed in 2015 as a means to connect Law Enforcement Officers’ spouses and significant others so they could strengthen relationships and provide support to individuals, officers, and the community. The LCOSSA currently has 36 members.

In addition to showing our support and honoring our law enforcement officers, this year funds raised through the sale of the bulbs will go toward the Neighborhood Resource Officer Program (NRO). Funds from the sale of the blue lights will be used by the NROs in efforts toward building positive relationships with juveniles and young adults.  This could include lunch, dinner, a Loggers game or a number of other activities throughout the city.

From May 11th to May 15th, light bulbs will be for sale at various locations.  Every donation of $5 will provide residents with a blue light bulb to display around their homes.
