LCPD Officer Frank Racich Receives Award

racichLa Crosse Police Officer Frank Racich was recently recognized by the La Crosse Area Domestic Abuse Sexual Assault Task Force for his work with our local Domestic Abuse Reduction Team (DART).

Officer Racich was acknowledged with the “Law Enforcement Award” at the Domestic Abuse/Sexual Assault Recognition Banquet held October 21st.

A colleague nominated Officer Racich and commended him for his ability to be, “up front with victims [of domestic violence and sexual assault], but at the same time be compassionate and understanding of the situation and trauma they are experiencing.”  He has also been described as, “an officer victims respect and feel comfortable with.”

All these qualities and the fact that Officer Racich is, “tenacious in arresting the offenders of domestic violence and sexual assault,” led the group to recognize Frank for his work with DART.

Officer Racich has been with the La Crosse Police Department for over 12 years.  Frank serves the La Crosse community as a day shift patrol officer, Field Training Officer, Firearms Instructor, and Emergency Response Team member.

We would like to thank the La Crosse Area Domestic Abuse Sexual Assault Task Force for recognizing Frank’s hard work.

Please join us in congratulating Officer Frank Racich for his commitment to our community.
