Death Investigation

The La Crosse Police are currently involved in a death investigation. At 4:23 am this morning La Crosse Police were dispatched to the alley north off of 400 Ferry St. for a report of a man lying in the alley.  Upon arrival officers located an unresponsive white male with no pulse lying face down in the alley.  Medical responders arrived, however the individual was pronounce dead at the scene.

The individual has been identified as Jordan A Valentino 09-23-1979 of Black River Falls. There were no obvious signs of trauma to the body and an autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of death.  At this time the investigation is ongoing, but La Crosse Police are asking that anyone who has been in contact with Jordan in the last 48 hours call the non-emergency line at 785-5962.  If you wish to remain anonymous, contact La Crosse Area Crime Stoppers at 608-784-TIPS.
