La Crosse Police to Open up Emergency Warming Shelter for Tonight only.

Because of expected frigid temperatures tonight, the La Crosse Police Department will be opening up the Northside Community Policing Center at 713 Saint James Street as a temporary warming shelter. The hours of operation for tonight will be 7pm-8am and will be staffed by police personnel.

NROs, K-9 Team Arrest Suspected Meth Dealer

Yesterday, at 1:16PM, La Crosse Police Neighborhood Resource Officers (NROs) Tyler Pond and Dale Gerbig stopped a motor vehicle driven by Kong Vang near 11th and Badger Streets.  The traffic stop was based on their knowledge that Vang (DOB 9/9/1989) had an active warrant and did not possess a valid driver license.
